Russia to Enact New Cryptocurrency Regulations




The Russian Ministry of Finance has proposed new changes to the nation’s cryptocurrency guidelines. The proposition recommends stricter punishment for people with undeclared crypto assets. This includes owners, crypto traders, and even miners.

The Russian Ministry of Finance had conveyed a draft bill tending to the dissemination of cryptocurrency in Russia to various government divisions. The bill contains alterations to the Russian Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code, the Administrative Code, the Tax Code, and the law on combating money laundering.

However, in new reports, Russia’s Ministry of Finance has proposed new corrections to the nation’s law on crypto-related financial resources. The new law is expected to become effective in January.
